LSD - Leasing Services Department
LSD stands for Leasing Service Department. Essentially, this department leases properties from private landlords to use to offer temporary accommodation. This is regarded as a much better way of housing homeless families, rather than placing them in unsuitable and costly Bed & Breakfast.
Number of properties owned by Stadium
This number changes constantly as a result of the following;
Stock increases - homes acquired by Stadium; homes newly built by Stadium
Stock decreases - homes sold by Stadium (say homes that are old and costly to repair, we sometimes sell at auction), residents purchasing their home through Right to Buy or Right to Acquire schemes.
Every year, we are required by our regulator to complete a Regulatory & Statistical Return (known in the business as an RSR). This gives a snapshot of the number of homes that Stadium owns at the financial year end (31 March). The information on our website relates to the RSR for last year. We are currently working on our submission for 31 March 2010. Once this information has been submitted to our regulator, we will update our website with this.
